Hello, I am kr105.

In december 2013 I made Catcoin. It was a meme, a response to dogecoin. Dogs had a coin so cats needed one too, that was the whole reasoning behind it.

I forked it from Litecoin. Zero premine, 50 CAT per block, 10 minute blocks, 21 million max. I was going to make it SHA256 but then by popular cats demand it was changed to Scrypt. I posted the thread on the 21st of december and the genesis block was mined two days later.

I did not expect it to get so popular at all.

It was xmas. I was at the dinner with my laptop open the whole night, reading the catcoin thread on bitcointalk, replying DMs, watching the mining and fixing reported bugs and everything. It was a really wild unexpected launch. Fun fun times.

In january I could not continue heading the project anymore for personal reasons, so other users went ahead and took my place on it. I left the post up for historical reasons. Then I was out of crypto for about 13 years.

Now I am back.

All kinds of cat coins are running to millions right now. So I decided to launch a cat coin myself.

That is it, that is the whole thing. I am not going to write you a roadmap. I made a cat coin in 2013 because it was funny and it worked, and I am doing it again.
